INTRODUCTION

Hospitality is the vast world of offering services related to many business entities such as hotels, resorts, restaurants, airline and institutional catering. Hospitality areas take students to variety of paths leading to many exciting and promising field related career opportunities. Prince Sultan College is providing this academic program that offers a Bachelors Degree in Hospitality Management. This program focuses on developing student knowledge and skills in important pillars of the hospitality industry, such as Rooms Division and Food and Beverage operations and management. In addition to offering other courses that add up to students abilities to perform duties and carry responsibilities at a high professional level, such as field-related computer applications in Rooms Division and Food & Beverage, hospitality facilities planning and design, sanitation and safety management, convention management, hospitality marketing management and human resource management. This program also focuses on developing students’ practical skills through training at PSCJ college labs, during-course hotel training in rooms division and food & beverage. In addition, it offers a full time industry practical training for a complete semester in the most reputable International hospitality chains. This training aims to strengthen students’ skills and to improve their experience through direct dealing with guests, work colleagues and managers.

 

OBJECTIVES

The bachelor of hospitality management aims to achieve the following educational objectives:

  • Providing students with necessary theoretical and practical information required for employment in the hospitality industry.
  • Providing students with practical experience in Rooms Division and Food & Beverage Departments.
  • Developing students’ skills and experience in direct guest service through full time practical training in reputable hospitality facilities.
  • Developing students' skills and working capabilities that enable them to work in supervisory and management levels in hospitality facilities after their graduation.
  • Providing the hospitality industry with efficient and skilled graduates that can work in supervisory and managerial levels.
  • Providing students with managerial education and necessary skills that assist them in continuing their post graduate studies.
