Students Clinic
Introduction
In order to provide a healthy & safe environment for its students, the deanship of Prince Sultan College for Tourism & Business has opened students' clinic in the first semester 2011-2012,
which is located at ground floor, near students' activities center with a view to provide its services to students and staff of the college.
Based on the policies of the college, the clinic is equipped with necessary First Aid materials pursuant to the national & international criteria and under the supervision of a legal qualified, expert & efficient nurse this strategy is meant to:
- Maintain the students' health
- Prevent deterioration of situations in case of accidents.
- Assist in the recovery after any accident.
Obligations of the Nurse
- Assessing the environment and determining the risks that may occurred to students due to accidents.
- Providing healthy & safe environment to limit accidents
- Taking all necessary precautions and being fully prepared to interfere when necessary.
- Providing the necessary awareness to students & college staff to assess and increase their awareness in the necessary healthy matters.
- Fast & safe interference in case of any urgent accident.
- Assessing the case and taking the necessary health procedures to limit the aggravation of the case.
- Assisting to increase the ability of recovery through following up and mentoring any case.
- Providing the healthy awareness to students regarding the risks which they may face.
- Coordinating with the medical staff and speed dial (997 Saudi Red Crescent authority) to transfer the case to the hospital as soon as possible in the event of any accident.
- Establishing the plans of urgent cases.
- Coordinating with the local society institutions to provide awareness courses in some fields which students have interested in, such as learning fire extinguishing and dealing with natural disasters.
- The presence of employee in each floor who has been trained on the principle of first aid with a view to take necessary action in the event of any emergency until the arrival of the legal nurse in the college or medical assistance.
Students' Clinic Programs
- Providing specialized First Aid courses of.
- Providing advices, guidance and health education to students & college staff.
- Carrying out studies on the main health problems.
- Teaching First Aid Subject Matter within the basic curriculum to students as a part of the studying plan.
