The vision, mission and values

In establishing the first Ladies College in tourism and business for Saudi Arabia, the management, planning, process, resource allocation and administration thereof is guided by the vision, mission, goals and values.

The vision

To be the authority in tourism, hospitality, business and information management education and training for ladies in Saudi Arabia

The Mission

To provide and facilitate high-level tourism, hospitality, business and information management education and training in partnership with all stakeholders. The aim is to encourage the development of individual creativity, research, personal growth, acquisition of skills and the expansion of knowledge for ladies.

Goals

The goals of the PSCJ Ladies College are:

  • To be excellent in our services;
  • Improve access to tourism, hospitality, business and information management education and training;
  • Expose female students to the broader tourism, hospitality, business and information management community;
  • Provide tourism, hospitality, business and information management education and training;
  • Emphasize the importance of tourism hospitality, business and information management;
  • Conduct work ethically and demonstrate leadership in satisfying responsibilities to communities, society, tourism, hospitality, and business and information management industries

Approach to achieve the mission and goals

The achieve the mission and goals of the PSCJ Ladies College the following are used as guidelines:

  • Use appropriate student-centred learning and instructional methodologies to improve student competencies in lateral-thinking, problem-solving, decision-making, effective communication and leadership;
  • Maximize student development, educational resilience, and faculty/student/group interaction through maintaining small class sizes and facilitate service learning;
  • Engage competent and experienced academics and professionals in the teaching, learning and research process
  • Develop career relevant skills and improve student placement competitiveness through ongoing links and engagements with the tourism and business sector
  • Conduct high quality research with applicability to the development of tourism and business for the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia in particular and the global business community in general;
  • Engage in selective consulting projects to increase faculty and student exposure to significant tourism and business development issues inside the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia;
  • Actively participate with the community and society, through supportive scholarly expertise, to face the challenges presented by the ever-changing socio-economic environment affecting tourism and business
