management hold many career opportunities for students.
Tourism management degree will prepare students for a successful career in managing tourism organizations in today’s highly dynamic and challenging environments.
The program will equip students with the necessary skills from a management perspective which will be invaluable in seeking to understand what the tourism industry
need to do to improve their competitive edge, grow their business and seek new business opportunities out.
OBJECTIVES
The bachelor of Travel and Tourism management aims to achieve the following educational objectives:
- Have a thorough understanding of the concepts and characteristics of tourism as an area of academic and applied study;
- Have a thorough understanding of the structure of and interactions in the tourism industry;
- Have a thorough understanding of the place of tourism in the communities and environments that it affects;
- Have a thorough understanding of the nature and characteristics of tourists;
- Encouraging interpersonal skills through teamwork and group activities in class assignments.
- To develop students with knowledge of tourism management who will be able to handle successfully the complexity and uncertainty of tourism management;
- Learning how to process tourism information, its collection, analysis and presentation; applying it to problem solving and decision making, thereby enabling students to make an immediate contribution to the challenges of tourism organizations;
- To help students develop their interpersonal skills, encourage team-work through team-work and group activities in class assignments;
- To provide students with the necessary travel and tourism management education to prepare them for the pursuit of further studies.
