Introduction
Students graduating from the Prince Sultan College for Tourism and Business (PSCJ) programs are facing
profound social, technological and economic change. Through cooperative education, employers and educators
share the responsibility of preparing students for these changing conditions. The employer's role as co-educator
assists in developing students to become productive members of society. Cooperative education provides the
opportunity for successful integration of work and study. It is an educational approach as part of the
academic project that links three key groups; namely; students, employers and the institution. The
diversity of work term positions, on-the-job training, development of technical skills and experience
received in a professional and nurturing work environment prepare the students for workplace demands
they will encounter after they graduate.
