The programme prepares the learner in the basic requirements
for food and beverage service delivery in the foodservice and hospitality industry,
Purpose and Rationale of the Qualification
This qualification has been developed for people in the food and
beverage service industry (hospitality). It brings together elements of
food and drink preparation as well as service skills. This qualification
is applicable to all sectors, from small restaurants to large-scale hotels.
Course Duration
The Course duration is 1 year and is broken down into 965 hours in total.
