- Undergraduate Application Categories
Standard admission to an undergraduate degree program at PSCJ may be granted in one of the categories listed below by meeting the following requirements:
- First year admission :
All applicants who have never attended a College or who have not studied at any other College/University and who are applying to PSCJ as either Foundation Program or Undergraduate applicants are classified as First Year applicants.First Year applicants may apply for either Fall or Spring admission and are required to submit the following:
- 1. Complete Admissions Application
- 2. Final and official high school transcript with a Good average or higher or its equivalent.
- 3. He/she must be physically fit and healthy
- 4. Applicants from outside KSA should provide a copy of their passport and a valid Iqama
- 5. Certificate of good conduct.
- 6. Four Passport sized photographs
- 7. If the student is an employee at the government or any private establishment, he/she should have permission from his workplace
First Year undergraduate applicants must satisfy all PSCJ undergraduate admission requirements for the semester of intended admission and must submit all appropriate application materials and supporting documents to the Registrar’s Office by the admission deadline
All first year admitted students must successfully complete the English preparatory year (5 levels), according to its regulations, in two semesters before starting the College academic courses.Based on their performance in the preparatory year, and in accordance with the implementation rules, students will be able to select the major of their choice.
- Transfer Admission :
All applicants who are currently or who have previously studied at another College/University are considered as transfer applicants and may apply for transfer admission to PSCJ.Transfer applicants may apply for either Fall or Spring admission.In addition to completing an admission application, transfer applicants must satisfy the following minimum requirements in order to be considered for admission to PSCJ as a transfer student:
- 1. Complete admission and credit transfer applications
- 2. Earned a General Secondary School Certificate or its equivalent with a good average or above.
- 3. The content of the transferred courses must match 80% of the course content of their counterparts at PSCJ.Only courses with a grade of (C) or above are transferable and completed at other colleges or universities accredited in KSA.
- 4. Transfer applicants must submit an official transcript from each institution previously attended as well as a Catalog course description or course syllabus for all courses for which transfer credit is sought.
- 5. Meet PSCJ English and Computer competency requirements.
- 6. He/she must be physically fit and healthy.
- 7. Applicants from outside KSA should provide a copy of their passport and a valid Iqama
- 8. Four Passport sized photographs.
Grades and quality points earned in courses accepted for transfer will not be included in the grade point average to be maintained at PSCJ, but the credits will count toward the total number required for graduation.
Undergraduate transfer applicants must satisfy all PSCJ undergraduate transfer admission requirements for the semester of intended admission and must submit all appropriate application materials and supporting documents to the Registrar’s office by the admission deadline.A maximum of 50% of required credit hours may be considered for transfer credit evaluation. The maximum age of transfer credit hour eligibility is five years. Individual departments determine the exact number of credit hours that may be transferred and applied towards their specific degree programs.
